Carbon Sound and Unbothered are joining forces to celebrate Juneteenth weekend and Carbon Sound's 2nd Anniversary with a night exploring the Black roots of techno at Red Sea in Minneapolis on Friday, June 14.

ABOUT THE DJs...
Blackmoonchild is a DJ and producer based in Detroit, MI. Her sound reflects her true love and appreciation for techno, while incorporating other genres and influences, ranging from house, garage, footwork, jungle, hip-hop, and more.
Over the years, Blackmoonchild has solidified herself as a force to be reckoned with in the underground dance music scene.
Her eclectic range of musical selections, personal productions, and taste is what truly makes her mixes an unique listening experience. Currently, she is the co-resident DJ of Blueprint, a Black femme led dance party that takes place in Detroit.
Minneapolis’s own Yasmeenah is a DJ and Arts & Culture worker. Over the past few years, this juggernaut has shaped the local scene with her authentic and raw approach to DJing. As the founder of Unbothered, she has created a party series that highlights DJs who are pushing dance music culture forward.
echo is a DJ, producer, and cultural organizer based in Minneapolis. As a DJ, he explores genres with Black roots - connecting past, present, and future through energetic and eclectic sets. echo's sets evoke, move, and expand the audience's perception of music. As a cultural organizer, echo founded Carbon Sound in 2022 - an online music stream and platform dedicated to showcasing the depth and breadth of Black music and its foundational role in the canon of American music. He also founded The Vanguard during his time at the University of Minnesota's student-run station Radio K, an online music stream and social media platform highlighting local hip-hop and R&B artists in the Twin Cities.
